Patients over 50 with a valid Alberta Health Care Card 

Patients who have a family doctor who can see them for urgent concerns in person

Patients who are meaningfully able to participate in counselling

Patients who are not actively suicidal 

Patients who do not have an active substance abuse concern

Referrals can be made by patients themselves, family members, or healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and facility staff.

There is no cost as long as the patient has a valid Alberta Health Care Card. 

Current referrals are being processed within a week. 

This program is centered around the patient and their needs. We have patients participating every week to every month. 

No, this is a telephone based counselling service.
